At The Threshold Of An Era

ATE is an epic tale which follows the lives of three buddies who have been there for each other every step of the way. The leading roles are played by Gallen Lo (who plays 'Ah Team'), Kwok June On (Ah Keung) and Chun Gum Houng (Ah Beal). Of the three Ah Team is most successful, in every aspect from relationships to earning his first $1,000,000 at the age of 15. Ah Beal started off as a laid back kind of guy who was willing to live a quiet, decent life. But gradually as the story progresses, he begins to realise that being a modest person gets you nowhere in life and so he, Ah Team and Ah Keung join forces to start up their own company and plan their campaign to make it big time on the Hong Kong stock market. While all this is happening secrets and lies are constantly being made and suddenly, one day a girl 'Ah Yun' (Kenix Kwok) bursts into the scene. Her step mother had just passed away and Ah Keung welcomes her to live in his home. Kindly Ah Yun accepts the offer and very quickly she develops a strong friendship with the three. Later on a whirlwind of events take place and eventually she ends up tying the knot with Ah Beal. At the end there is a large battle between Ah Beal and Ah Team.
